15 miles south of the
legendary adventure hub of Moab Utah,
Pack Creek Ranch is an extraordinary place of renewal.
A cool retreat from the summer heat
and a quiet, cozy and wild refuge in winter.
The cabins and ranch property offer stunning views
of mountain and desert alike.
Pack Creek Ranch has been a favorite retreat for such notables as author Edward Abbey, river runners Katie Lee and Ken Sleight, and actor Robert Duval to name a few. The Ranch features 10 fully renovated individual cabins, all with a 'rustic elegance'. Most have rock fireplaces and full kitchens. You won't find televisions or telephones in our cabins — making it easier to leave your busy lives behind.
Pack Creek Ranch is your adventure base for all seasons. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are only a short drive away. White-water rafting on the Colorado River, hiking, biking, horse pack trips, jeep tours, cross country skiing — all are within easy reach of your cozy cabin on the Ranch.
“Our children have been used to city vacations. This has set an expectation in their minds about what 'fun' is. If they are not buying something or surrounded by pre-packaged stimuli, they feel lost. We wanted this trip to be presented to them in its natural state and allow them to discover it on their own. Thankfully, their eyes have opened to the beauty and interconnected brilliance of the land, sky and life surrounding your wonderful spot in the West. The last few days they have asked all the questions I had hoped for about why it is all here, where it is going, and what it all might mean. Of course, I do not have the answers, but the cool westerly winds have blown back some of the fog to bring us wonderful memories of discovery and contentment.” — Jim Fry, Pack Creek Ranch Guest
