Rental Cabins at Pack Creek Ranch

The cabins at Pack Creek Ranch are mostly historic log homes built in the mid-nineteen hundreds by ranchers and ranch hands. While retaining their authentic rustic charm, all of the cabins have been lovingly renovated over the years and are very comfortable and livable. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and most have fireplaces. There are no formal boundaries between the cabin properties and visitors are encouraged to explore the wide open spaces, natural surroundings and native wildlife. Afterall, it's that picturesque serentity that sets us apart from lodging in town.....

The Ranch House

Ranch House
The Ranch House offers a spacious, ‘rustic luxury’ log cabin with a single level floor plan sleeping 2 to 12 people. With 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms, you’ll find it ideal for a family vacation, group retreat, or romantic get-away for two. The absence of telephone and TV ensures you’ll have uninterrupted time, even as you remain in touch via high-speed internet. The living area features a native cobblestone wall with integral fireplace, a library wall and a view of the apple orchard. A large dining area connects to the fully equipped kitchen including a washer/dryer, and a half bath is located off the kitchen. The charming master suite has a king bed and old-fashioned claw foot bathtub; two other bedrooms have two queen beds each and share a hall bath with full tub/shower. Two daybeds under the dining window provide additional sleeping/seating. The back patio has a gas grill for cookouts, and beautiful views of the mountains. And you won't find a better location in Pack Creek; this prime cabin is the closest unit to the large swimming pool, hot tub and sauna.

The Orchard House

Orchard House
Constructed in 2012, and situated in the Ranch's apple orchard, the Orchard House cabin provides incredible views from inside and out towards both the La Sal mountains and down the canyon to the red rocks around Moab. The main floor has 3 bedrooms, one with a king bed and a master bathroom, one with a queen bed and one with two twin sized beds. A second bathroom is located in the hall. The rest of the main floor includes a large open kitchen with island and breakfast bar, a dining area, and a cozy living room with wood burning stove. Upstairs, the loft provides a great hang out with a comfortable sitting area and access to TV with Netflix/Blue Ray and the spectacular views down the canyon. Two more twin beds and a sleeping sofa are located in the loft. A spacious balcony provides wide open views to the La Sal mountains, and in the event that more entertainment is needed, the family can gather around the shuffleboard! Don't forget to sit on the wrap around deck and combine the views with the wonderful sounds of nature. This is a big enough accommodation for a larger group of 8 while still very cozy for couples or small families.

The Road House

Ranch House
Our Road House is the perfect size for more intimate groups or small family vacations. Outside is a large front porch, a long back deck and a flagstone seating area with a firepit. Views lead down valley or up to snow capped 12K' mountain peaks. Green pastures and foothill ridgeline views are in between. The inside has been renovated with European-style IKEA furnishings, fixtures and appliances. There is a combined dining room/living room area with seating for six and a large rock fireplace. The kitchen is very well appointed with butcher block counter, large peasant sink and lots of storage. The master bedroom offers lots of closets and views of the pasture and mountains while double French doors in the second bedroom open to a back deck. Both have queen beds with large storage drawers. The master bath has a large walk-in marble shower and glass door while the other bath has a tub and marble floor. With the wireless high speed internet, you can stream Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc., on a 40" Smart TV and a CD/DVD/BlueRay player or plug into your laptop. Just outside the Road House, the cozy and historic Abbey Cabin is adjacent with a totally new interior and new queen sofa sleeper. Edward Abbey, well known author of Desert Solitaire, The Monkey Wrench Gang and other popular titles, frequented both the Road House and cabin writing his last book, The Fool's Progress here in 1988. (It was published after Hayduke Lives.)

The Farm House

Farm House has the feeling of home on the range. It was recently remodelled with a new large kitchen, open to the living and dining room, new flooring throughout, new bathroom with jetted bathtub, new fixtures, appliances, heating system and air conditioning, new furniture and many custom features such as intricate tile and wood work and oak cabinets adorned with hammered tin art fronts. The classic fireplace, now with a gorgeous cast iron insert that can heat the house in the coldest days of winter, remains in a new cozy living room. Farm House has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, king beds in two of the bedrooms and a trundle bed in the third that can be set up as one twin, 2 twins, or a king bed. The pull-out couch in the living room has been replaced and is now firm and comfortable. Come enjoy the luxurious rustic charm, comfort and the stunning views of Mt. Tukuhnikivatz and other La Sal peaks right through the sliding door in the dining room and kitchen and from the surrounding expansive lawn which invites to al fresco meals on the outdoor table and chairs, lounging, frisbee throwing or crocket games. Sleeps up to 8. No pets please.

Ranch House

Set in beautiful Pack Creek Ranch, the Lodge Suite offers a luxury spot for up to three people, and it is especially perfect for couples. The large living/sleeping area features a tin ceiling, a sumptuous King Size, memory foam bed, romantic wood-burning fireplace, 42" Plasma TV, and a small dining room table. The newly remodeled bathroom has a large Victorian-inspired soaking tub, a separate walk in shower, and 2 separate water closets. TV service is via Dish Network satellite and you’ll also have DSL, WiFI internet. In the kitchen, you’ll find a small 2-drawer refrigerator, a small freezer, sink, and dishwasher. There is no conventional oven or range, but a 2-burner, electric hot plate is available. You’ll also have an automatic coffee maker and a microwave oven. For a third person, a twin bed is located in a small step-down alcove off the kitchen. A window in the alcove looks out on the large patio, where there is plenty of seating to enjoy the views and a propane BBQ grill for your use.

Also available is the rental of the attached Commercial Kitchen and Meeting Area. Large groups can be accommodated here. There is plenty of comfortable seating in front of a big fireplace made of native fieldstone. You’ll have every piece of equipment needed to host a large get-together. From the commercial ovens and ranges, to the walk-in refrigerator and freezer, to the 50 lbs. ice maker, to the large meeting area with a small buffet, and large kitchen table that can seat up to 8, the Lodge is a great place to host your family reunion, group dinner, or business convention.
